This is a pretty critical function for #
Hubzilla, probably the very first thing that a new user does. And it takes about a minute for the page to load. That's an eternity in web user land.
My web host is fairly beefy, so I have to assume this is some sort of problem with the directory returning results slowly. From my perspective, a faster directory is probably the number two matter of importance for increasing Hubzilla uptake and improving user experience.
Number one? Glad you asked: a complete rethink of the entire end user interface. It's weird, it's unintuitive, and it's new user hostile.
