Something New, Again: Game Reports: Return to Pavis after Iceland

We started late due to the Richmond crowd getting a late start. No worries, as I needed the rest! Got a nap before everyone showed up. (Everyone being Jon, Brian, Brad & Chris via webcam.)

Dinner was slow too.

Much character transition work, little actual role play. Some in-character discussion about whom members of the family should marry to improve (or establish) relations with allies and outside power groups. Discussed possibles included a Zebra Tribe woman, other Nomad tribes, and marrying Senech to Uzkor's widow.

Next week's game starts when the characters enter the Rass family shrine for the first time since their return.

Next Week

OK. It is time to put the Rass House in order. Securing the Shrine, restoring Cam, looking for traitors who try to send word to Lunars (or others) about the hero's return, contacting allies plus taking inventory and looking in the chest o' stuff which King Broyan gave as a parting gift. Coming soon: a description of the Iceland battle.

"Securing the shrine"?

What makes you think the shrine needs more security?

Why the shrine needs to be secured

Plain ole vanilla household attendent: "Master Senech, Master Cam is in the family shrine."

Squeaky voiced Sock o'Senech: "Cam who?"

Plain ole vanilla household attendent: "The Master Cam who has just returned. Your brother."

Sock o'Senech: "Brother? I don't have a brother. I'm an only sock."

Fretful plain ole vanilla household attendent: "My apologies Sir. I uh meant uh Master Senech's brother Cam."

Sock o'Senech: "by Ernalda's bunions! So what's the big deal? Isn't he a family member? Isn't it called a "family" shrine? How long have you been working here? are you a spy? SECURITY!"

Panicking plain ole vanilla household attendent: "um uh um but Master Senech um I mean Master Sock! Master Cam is coughing up fire and brimstone!"

Sock o'Senech: "whhhhaaaaaaaattttttt?!? SECURE THE SHRINE! SECURE THE SHRINE!"
